Bewitched had the great fortune of having one of the best ensemble casts in television history. Bill Asher, having worked on I Love Lucy, realized the value of great acting talent and he and Elizabeth Montgomery played a large part in the casting of the show. All of the actors on the show had a great stage presence and a unique voice. Before Bewitched, and most notably after the show, these great actors lent their voices to the following projects.


Maurice Evans

Shakespeare: Hamlet (1950) - Evans reads 4 excerpts from Shakespeare's play on this 2 LP set.


Maurice Evans Reads A.A. Milne's Joyful WINNIE-THE-POOH (1956) - Evans takes a break from Shakespeare to narrate the classic tale of Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin on this children's record.



Paul Lynde

The Perils of Penelope Pitstop (1969) - Lynde (uncredited) voiced the animated role of Sylvester Sneekly.

The Chatanooga Cats (1969) - Lynde voiced the role of Mildew Wolf.

Where's Huddles (1970) - Lynde voiced the role of Claude Pertwee.

Charlotte's Web (1973) - Lynde voiced the animated role of Templeton the rat.

Journey Back to Oz (1974) - Lynde voiced the animated role of Pumpkinhead.

 

Elizabeth Montgomery

The Flintstones (1965) - Montgomery partnered with Dick York to forever capture the Bedrock version of Samantha and Darrin Stephens in this animated show entitled "Samantha."

Cover Up: The Iran-Contra Affair (1988) - Montgomery narrated this award-winning documentary.

The Panama Deception (1992) - Montgomery narrated this historic documentary. Note: This film won an Academy Award (Oscar) for "Best Documentary Film" in 1993.

Beauty's Punishment and Beauty's Release (1994) - Montgomery narrated two of the audio books for the erotic Sleeping Beauty trilogy from A.N. Roquelaure (pen name of Anne Rice).

Batman: The Animated Series (1995) - Montgomery voiced the Barmaid character in the episode "Showdown."

 

Agnes Moorehead

Superman (1939) - Voiced the role of Superman's mother, Lara, on the radio adventures of the Man of Steel.

Mercury Theater - Performed a variety of roles in this radio program with dear friend Orson Welles.

Suspense (1939) - Performed in the radio serial "Sorry, Wrong Number."

The Shadow - Voiced the role of the first Margot Lane in this radio program.

Charlotte's Web (1973) - Moorehead voiced the animated role of the stuttering goose.

 

Dick York

That Brewster Boy (1943) - Performed lead role in this radio show.

Jack Armstrong: The All-American Boy (pre-1950) - Performed a lead role in this radio show. Note: This show was inducted into the radio hall of fame in 1989.

Alice Ghostley

Whispers: An Elephant's Tale (2000) - Performed as the voice of Tuskless.

Hercules (1998) - Played the voice of "Miss Cassiopeia" in the episode "Hercules and the Techno Greeks" (episode # 1.7).

Channel Umptee-3 (1997) - Performed as the voice of Pandora Rickets in this TV show.
